Linco Spectin Injection

Linco-Spectin Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic combination used in veterinary medicine to treat various bacterial infections in animals. It combines two powerful antibiotics: Lincomycin and Spectinomycin, offering both bacteriostatic and bactericidal effects. Lincomycin Spectinomycin for Veterinary Use, Lincomycin Spectinomycin, Linco Spectin for Poultry, Lincomycin Spectinomycin for Livestock

1. Composition
Lincomycin (as hydrochloride): A lincosamide antibiotic effective against Gram-positive bacteria and some mycoplasmas.

Spectinomycin (as sulfate): An aminocyclitol antibiotic mainly active against Gram-negative bacteria and Mycoplasma spp.

2. Mechanism of Action
Lincomycin inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, blocking peptide chain elongation.

Spectinomycin inhibits protein synthesis at the 30S ribosomal subunit, preventing bacterial replication.

Together, they cover a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, as well as Mycoplasma spp.
