Mechanism of Action
Lincomycin is a lincosamide antibiotic that acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit, blocking peptide chain elongation.

Gram-positive bacteria: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Clostridium spp.

Dosage and Administration

Swine:
IM injection:
5 mg/lb (11 mg/kg) body weight once daily

10 mg/kg body weight daily
Duration: 3 to 5 days
Poultry:

Contraindications
Not for use in rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, or horses – may cause fatal enteritis.
